Personal & Public Safety Education Our educational training program is based on the theory that an educated public is a safer public. The majority of our crime prevention training provided on personal safety education is provided at all crime prevention initiatives. KID PRINT Identification Pro2ram The kid Print program provides parents with a document that has their children's fingerprints as well as space for vital statistics and a place for a current photo to use in the event of an abduction or a missing child. This usually occurs at patrol station tours, schools, scouting, and community events. . McGruffHouse Pro2ram. Arden Hills City Administrator Michelle Wolfe has inquired aboutthis program. A McGruffHouse is a temporary haven for children who find themselves in emergency or frightening situations such as being bullied, followed, or hurt while walking in a neighborhood. McGruff houses provide emergency assistance for children as they go to and from school and or are at play in the area. They also telephone appropriate authorities for help, reassure and aid children who are frightened or lost, assist children who have medical emergencies by getting appropriate attention, assist those who are in immediate fear of becoming victims of personal crimes or theft, child abuse, gangs, or bullies, and they report crimes and suspicious activities to law enforcement officials and provide descriptions of vehicles and suspects where possible. This training could be utilized for our community's city employees whom are out in the field who may come across this situation. If established the McGruff House participants would have to fill out an application and background checks would have to be done annually on all . residents whom are 18 and over living in the home. .
