Bridl!e Option B: 7.5 Foot Sidewalk <br /> <br />This option is intended to create the maximum width sidewalk along one side of the bridge <br />through the use of structural modifications to the south beam (cantilever supports). This is <br />accomplished through doing the following: <br /> <br />. Replacing the north bridge rail system (currently 3.67 feet wide) with a newer F-type rail <br />design (1.67 feet wide). <br />. Shifting the centerline of County Road E 3 feet - This would require restriping with some <br />curvature on either side of the bridge to move traffic back to the proper alignment for the <br />signalized intersections. <br />. Narrowing the traffic lanes from 15 feet to 14 feet in width (Ramsey County has agreed to <br />this in concept). <br />. Removal of the south bridge rail system and installation of cantilever supports to the existing <br />south beam. <br />.
