<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />j <br /> <br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />Agenda Item 2.C. <br /> <br />March 10, 2004 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and Council <br />City Administrator Michelle Wolfe <br /> <br />Aaron Parrish, Assistant City Administrato& <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Employee Recognition Policy <br /> <br />ENCLOSURE: <br /> <br />Revised Employee Recognition Policy <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />At a previous Work Session, thECouflciJ reviewed a draft of an employee recognition policy, At <br />that time, the Council requested further clarification on a few items, 10 particular, the Council <br />requested that additional language be incorporated to provide further definition on how the <br />money and time saving idea component would be implemented, 10 addition, the Council <br />requested that an "employee of the month" concept be evaluated by the Employee Recognition <br />Committee, <br /> <br />UPDATE <br /> <br />As a follow up to the Council Work Session, the Employee Recognition Committee has met to <br />further refine the policy, The Council will note the following: <br /> <br />~ Additional language has been incorporated into the policy providing further definition as to' <br />how a money and time saving idea concept will be implemented, Eligibility criteria, eligible <br />suggestions, and ineligible suggestions have been articulated, New text within the policy is <br />underlined. <br /> <br />~ Given the small size of our- staff and other varying reasons, the Employee Recognition <br />Committee felt that and employee of the month/quarter/year concept would be challenging to <br />implement. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />Provide additional feedback on the proposed Employee Recognition Policy; Consider placing <br />the policy on a future agenda for approval. <br /> <br />\\Earth\AdminlJ-Juman Resources\Policies\Employee Recognition Policy\OJ-10..o4 Memo to Counci1.doc <br />
