Hellegers replied it did meet the . <br />lot requirement. <br /> <br />Chair Sand asked about the lighting plan and the decorative lighting requirement. Me. <br />Hellegers replied the Neighborhood Business District had a requirement that there be <br />decorative lighting instead of the standard shoe-box lighting. He indicted applicant was <br />willing to work with staff with respect to lighting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ricke asked if there was any proposal for on street parking, Me. Hellegers <br />relied there was no proposal for on street parking. He noted there was a letter in the <br />Commissioner's packet from Kathleen Russell, 2015 County Road D West, opposing this <br />development because of on-street parking. However, he indicted he believed Ms. Russell <br />misunderstood ihe request by applicant and there would be no on street parking for this <br />development. <br /> <br />Me. Hellegers suggested adding a condition number 14 to read: Parking lot lighting be <br />revised and submitted to the City Planner for approval prior to issuance of a building <br />permit. <br /> <br />Chair Sand invited anyone for or against the varIance to come forward and make <br />comment. <br /> <br />Dick Zehring, President ofMSP Commercial, stated they had worked hard on coming up <br />with a high quality building and he believed this was a good development for this site. . <br />He noted St. Paul Radiology was anxious to have this development. He thanked the <br />Commission for their assistance, <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman asked how many suites would there be and how much <br />parking would that entail. Mr. Zehring replied there were a total of 18 employees at this <br />location, with only 9 employees at any given time. He indicated there would also only be <br />9 patients at any given time due to the limited machines. So, if all of the employees were <br />there and they had maximum patients on site, they would only need 27 parking spaces. <br /> <br />Chair Sand inquired about drawing sheet A-3 and asked if this would be a cut stone look <br />or a burnished look. A representative of Genesis Architecture stated this would have a <br />cut stone look, which would give the building a very strong face and nice contrast to the <br />efface material. He stated they attempted to bring the scale of the building down to blend <br />in with the neighborhood, <br /> <br />Chair Sand asked Me. Zehring how he felt the neighborhood meeting went. Me. Zehring <br />replied he believed the meeting went well, and the majority of the neighbors were in <br />support of the project. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ricke asked if they agreed to the original 13 conditions required by staff <br />and the addition of condition 14 at tonight's meeting. Me. Zehring replied he was very <br />comfortable with all ofthe conditions, . <br /> <br />Mark McGuire, 2030 Glen Paul, recommended this development for approval. He stated <br />the current neighbors to the north had opposed the previous development proposal due to <br />the height of the building and the screening issue.
