<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The determination of the Employee Recognition Committee can not be <br />grieved. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Joint Su[(gestions <br /> <br />Suggestions may bc submitted by a group of employees. Should anyone <br />member of the group be incligible for an award, he or she will not share in <br />such award. A joint suggestion submitted by two or more employees must <br />bear the names of all individuals concerned on the suggestion form. <br /> <br />In evaluating money or time saving ideas, the ERC will adhere to the following <br />process: <br /> <br />1. Feedback will be solicited from the employee's Department Director to <br />learn more about the magnitude of the improvement or cost savings to the <br />City. <br />2. Based on feedback from the Department Director and a review of all <br />information, the ERC may makc a recommendation to the City <br />Administrator to bring forth to the City Council for its formal approval. <br />3. The ERC will notify the employee's Department Director of the City <br />Council's approval or denial. <br />4. If approval is received, the ERC will obtain a gift certificate from a vender <br />of the employee's choice. <br />5. The employee's Department Director shall present the award to the <br />employee. <br /> <br />All money and time saving ideas approved for an award shall become the <br />property of the City of Ardcn Hills <br /> <br />Retirement <br /> <br />. Retiring employees shall be presented with a Mayoral Proclamation, a plaque <br />recognizing their years of service, and a gift certificate in an amount determined <br />by the City Council. <br /> <br />Employee Newsletter <br /> <br />. A bi-monthly employee written and published newsletter shall be distributed to all <br />employees. The newsletter may include such items as employee birthdays, <br />anniversaries, department high-lights, employee spotlights, etc. The newsletter <br />shall be reviewed and approved by the City Administrator prior to distribution to <br />employees. <br />
