I . ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES MARCH 8, 2004 3 There were no comments made. Mayor Aplikowski closed the public hearing at 7:22 p.m. Ms. Wolfe noted all they were doing was holding a public hearing tonight and there was no action required by Council at this time. Mr. Landwer noted this was a required annual public hearing. 6. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT A. Ordinance 349: Creating an Economic Development Commission Mr. Parrish stated this Ordinance would create an Economic Development Commission. He noted Council has discussed this in the past. Mayor Aplikowski asked if there was any intcrcst of the Council in increasing the members from seven to nine. . It was the Council's conscnsus to leave the membership to seven members. MOTION: Couneilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a motion to approve Ordinance 349: Creating an Economic Development Commission. The motion canied unanimously (5-0). 7. OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE A. Receive Feasibility Report and Order Preparation of Plans for County Road E Pedestrian Improvements Mr. Landwer stated staff was recommending a possible series of neighborhood meetings in order to receive input and finalize the scope of the proposal. COllncilmember Larson asked if the other options prcsented in the feasibility study would be held until they had the neighborhood meetings. Mr. Landwer replied that was correct. . MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Grant seconded a motion to accept the March, 2004 feasibility study report for County Road E Pedestrian Improvements, select bridge option B as the preferred course of action, and to authorize staff to hold two neighborhood meetings to solicit neighborhood input.
