It IS <br /> expected that the committee's work will be <br /> completed by the end of April and a <br /> recommcndation will come to the City Council <br /> in May. <br />Transition for Deputy ClerklHR position - Gct We filled the position via internal transfer and <br />to full staff then began recruitment for a Community <br /> Dcvelopmcnt Director. We hope to have that <br /> position fillcd by mid-May, Next we will <br /> embark on filling the Assistant City <br /> Administrator vacancy. <br />Proactive Eeonomie Dcvelopment Program The City Council approved the ordinance <br /> creating an Economic Development <br /> Commission. Weare in the proeess of trying <br /> to recruit members. It is expeeted that this <br /> effort will be stepped up with the addition of <br /> the new Community Development Director. <br />TCAAP/Transportation Issucs We accomplished thc Environmental <br /> Symposium and approvcd procceding with <br /> Phase III planning. As the planning proceeds <br /> and potential access points are identified we <br /> will be able to work with the vanous <br /> appropriate agencies and neighboring cities on <br /> transportation issues. <br />2004 PMP -Improved Communications The 2004 PMP process is underway and so far <br /> appears to have gone smoothly. There have <br /> been neighborhood meetings, and the <br /> assessment hearing is seheduled for April 26, <br /> Staff and the City Engineer have tried to <br /> identify strategies to improve eommunications <br /> and planning, <br />Staff-Council-Citizen Relations (including On-going.
