Reviewed each model relative to the Attributes and Service standards to identify benefits and <br />challenges for consideration of the leaders of the municipalities, agencies and the County <br />they serve. <br /> <br />Considerations the Dispatch Work Group would like all to keep in mind as this work is conducted: <br /> <br />. Consideration of the human element (employees impacted), the importance of the "family <br />feeling" of current PSAP teams <br /> <br />. Funding should be equitable, not used to coerce <br /> <br />The options are presented in a format that facilitated comparison. Cost items such as salaries, <br />benefits, etc. vary from PSAP to PSAP in the current environment. However, for purposes of this <br />comparison reasonable estimations have been made and applied in the same way to all the options. <br />Financial and staffing values are not final "budget" estimates, but reasonable placeholders that must <br />be finalized once a structure is agreed upon and a detailed PSAP design phase is entered in to. <br /> <br />Attributes of operating PSAP models that are important to communities and <br />Dispatch Work group; <br /> <br />:. <br /> <br />1. Must meet service standards - no difference felt by the public <br /> <br />2. Unique skill groups answering directed calls: Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, etc. <br /> <br />3. Model must be cost-justifiable <br /> <br />4.
