The City Attorney quoted from statute that you <br />can tow in a "school zone", so one option would be to define the whole neighborhood as <br />a "school zone." <br /> <br />Essentially, the group that met on June 6th seemed to agree that the concept of a consistent <br />neighborhood-wide approach should be examined. By allowing neighbors to opt in and out in <br />terms of signage, gaps result that can reduce enforceability of parking regulations. Onc way to <br />reduce the number of signs in yards is to have a uniform approach with signs at each block. This <br />is one option that is recommended for review. <br /> <br />Neighbors were sent a letter inviting them to the work session for this discussion. Also invited <br />were Ramsey County Sheriff's Department and Mounds View Schools. Our goal is to have a <br />plan in place prior to the start of the ncw school year. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />Provide direction to staff regarding policy direction.
