By allowing neighbors to opt in and out in <br />terms of signage, gaps result that can reduce enforceability of parking regulations. One way to <br />reduce the nwnber of signs in yards is to have a uniform approach with signs at each block. This <br />is one option that is recommended for review. <br /> <br />Neighbors were sent a letter inviting them to the work session for this discussion. Also invited <br />were Ramsey County Sheriffs Department and Mounds Vievv Schools. Our goal is to have a <br />plan in place prior to the start of the new school year. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />Provide direction to staff regarding policy direction. Respond to sign requests on a case-by-case basis. <br />Develop a neighborhood-vvide policy, such as the every-block approach.
