Potential saviugs <br />FACTS <br />School buildings will be repurposcd, not closed or <br />sold. <br /> <br />The estimated savings realized by closing a school <br />program and repurposing the building is $300.000- <br />$400,000. This considers the expenses necessary to <br />repurpose buildings (relocating staff, moving <br />expenses, etc.) <br /> <br />The savings are realized through reductions in <br />school administration, office staff, clerks, <br />custodians, support staff and some utilities. Yet, the <br />levels of staffmg will IDeet the class size ranges <br />established annually by the School Board and will <br />accommodate the optimal school size of 600 <br />students established by the School Board, <br /> <br />The savings are not a one-time savings. They are <br />realized annually. <br /> <br />Moving programs currently housed in leased spaces <br />into school facilities also allows the District to <br />discontinue several leases for which taxes arc <br />presently levied. <br /> <br />S.
