I asked
U,S. Altendorfer, Lt. Salter, and Deputy Entner to review the crash reports as well.

In summary, for the past twenty-two months, we have had a total of twelve crashes on the
reviewed stretch of road. The crashes included the following causes:

.

. Inattentive Driving 9
. DWI I
. Speed I
. Car v Deer I

We did not have any crashes that involved pedestrians. Please find the enclosed crash
reports.

As we reviewed these figures, we considered the thousands of cars that use this stretch of
road each day. We didn't see any glaring flaws in the makeup of the road that might lead to
crash tcndencies. As I spoke about earlier, the inattentive driving is the most common cause
for most traffic crashes, as with this stretch of road.

If there is anything else we can review, please don't hesitate to call me at 651-248-2438.

S:~~ BQyr

J~eph Paget, Lieutenant
Human Resources Development

.

C: U.S. Altendorfcr, Lt.
