<br />Procedure/Guidelines for the April 11 , 2005 Assessment Hearing <br />Page 2 of2 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />5. The Mayor opens the public hearing. <br /> <br />. At this time, the City has received 0 letters indicating their objection <br />to their individual assessment rate. The letters represent the following <br />addresses. <br /> <br />6. Property owners/residents are invited to state their <br />objections/ comments/questions. <br /> <br />7. Staff and/or Council will respond to general non-assessment related <br />questions. <br /> <br />8. Staff responds to questions posed during the public hearing. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />The City Council then directs staff to provided written <br />documentation/information on the various objections, if any, and that this <br />information will be presented at the next Council meeting on April 25, 2005. <br />(This will allow an orderly, systematic, thorough review process to be <br />undertaken by Staff.) Staff will then notifY/contact each of the residents <br />who filed an objection that they should appear at the April 25, 2005 Council <br />meeting for a final detennination. On April 25, 2005, the Council rules on <br />all objections. The assessment rol I is then adopted. (Approval requires three <br />votes.) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />10. If there are no objections or concerns at the April 11, 2005 meeting, Council <br />will adopt the assessment roll at this meeting. <br /> <br />II. The Mayor requests a motion to continue the Public Hearing to April 25, <br />2005. <br /> <br />. <br />
