<br />Money or Time Saving Idea . <br />. Any employee may submit to his/her supervisor a money or time saving idea. <br />The Employee Recognition Committee (ERC) will recognize the <br />idealconcept/process/solution that was implemented within the City which <br />resulted in significant cost savings or greatly improved efficiency to the City. The <br />ERC will solicit feedback from the employee's Department Director to learn more <br />about the magnitude of the improvement or cost savings to the City. The ERC <br />will then review all information and may make a recommendation to the City <br />Administrator to bring forth to the City Council for its formal consideration of <br />granting an award to the employee. The ERe will notify the employee's <br />Department Director of the City Council's approval or denial. If approval is <br />received, the ERC will obtain a gift certificate in the amount of $100 from a <br />vendor of the employee's choice. The employee's Department Director shall <br />present the award to the employee. <br /> <br />Retirement <br />. Upon notification ofretirement, an employee shall receive a plaque from the City <br />honoring him/her for their years of service to the City. The retiring employee shall <br />be presented with a Mayoral Proclamation and a gift certificate in an amount to be <br />determined by the City Council. <br /> <br />Employee Newsletter <br />. A bi-monthly employee written and published newsletter shall be distributed to all . <br />employees. The newsletter may include such items as employee birthdays, <br />anniversaries, department high-lights, employee spotlights, etc. <br /> <br />Employee Recognition Committee <br />. The Employee Recognition Committee shall be comprised of City staff. <br />. Membership will be for a three year term. <br />. Two new members will be added to the ERC each calendar year. <br />. The ERC will meet on a quarterly basis. <br />.
