<br />. <br /> <br />. Matters recommended for study, review or survey (Ideas already <br />under consideration by the City). <br />. Matters that are the result of assigned or contracted audits, studies, <br />survey reviews or research. <br />. Matters that are opinions, rather than specific recommendations <br />and suggestions which only identify a problem but offer no <br />corrective proposal. <br />. Duplicate suggestions-A suggestion that is not original to the <br />employee who submitted the idea. <br />. Suggestions that are within the scope of the normal job <br />responsibility of an employee. <br />. Suggestions which are deemed by the ERe to be frivolous, <br />impractical, retaliatory or inconsequential in character. <br /> <br />The determination of the Employee Recognition Committee can not be grieved. <br /> <br />4. Joint Suggestions. Suggestions may be submitted by a group of <br />employees. Should anyone member of the group be ineligible for the <br />award, he or she will not share in such award. A joint suggestion <br />submitted by two or more employees must bear the names of all <br />individuals concerned on the suggestion form. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />In evaluating money, safety, or time saving ideas, the ERC will adhere to the <br />following process: <br />. Feedback will be solicited from the employee's Department Director <br />to learn more about the magnitude of the improvement or cost savings <br />to the City. <br />. Based on feedback from the Department Director and a review of all <br />information, the ERC may make a recommendation to the City <br />Administrator to bring forth the recommendation to the City Council <br />for its formal approval. <br />. The City Administrator will notifY the employee's Department <br />Director of the City Council's approval or denial. <br />. If approval is received, the employee will receive a $100.00 gift <br />certificate from a vendor of the employee's choice. <br />. The employee's Department Director shall present the award to the <br />employee. <br /> <br />All money and time saving ideas approved for an award shall become the <br />property of the City of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />. <br />
