<br />Retirement <br />. Upon notification of retirement, (minimum of five years of service to the City and <br />PERA retirement eligible) an employee shall be presented with a Mayoral <br />Proclamation and a gift certificate based upon the following criteria: <br />1. Five Years of Service to the City of Arden Hills $25.00 Gift Card <br />2. Ten Years of Service to the City of Arden Hills $50.00 Gift Card <br />3. Fifteen Years of Service to the City of Arden Hills $75.00 Gift Card <br />4. Twenty Years of Service to the City of Arden Hills $100.00 Gift Card <br />5. Thirty Years of Service to the City of Arden Hills $150.00 Gift Card <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />All retiring employee will be asked to select a restaurant, retail store, or hardware <br />store of his /her choice. <br /> <br />Employee Newsletter <br />. A bi-month1y employee written and published newsletter may be distributed to all <br />employees. The newsletter may include such items as employee birthdays (with <br />permission from the employee), anniversaries, department updates, employee <br />spotlights, etc. <br /> <br />Money, Safety, or Time Saving Idea <br />. Any employee may submit to the Employee Recognition Committee (ERe) an <br />idealconcept/process/solution that was implemented within the City which . <br />resulted in significant cost savings or greatly improved efficiency or safety for the <br />City. <br />Applications will be judged based on the following eligibility standards and criteria: <br />1. Eligibility of employees to participate in the program. <br />All employees below the classification of department head are eligible <br />to receive awards. <br />2. Acceptable Suggestions- <br />. Reduce costs, duplication, time, safety, labor, space, <br />materials/supplies, records, forms, accidents, energy resources, or <br />storage filing space. <br />. Increase production, revenue, use of existing facilities and job <br />interest. <br />. Propose improvements and standardization of forms, reports, tools, <br />equipment, machines, purchasing methods, and procedures. <br />. Improve service to the public. <br />. Improve safety conditions. <br />3. Unacceptable Suggestions-Suggestions not deemed to be acceptable are: <br />. Personal grievances. <br />. Personal pay, hours of work or any classification matter. <br /> <br />. <br />
