<br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION POLICY <br /> <br />Thc City Council of Ardcn Hills cncourages and supports rccognizing cmployces who <br />makc significant contributions to thc City. At its Septembcr 1994 mecting, thc City <br />Council adopted Rcsolution No. 94-47, establishing an Employcc Rccognition <br />Committcc (ERe). <br /> <br />The City of Ardcn Hills hcrcby establishcs the following programs to rccognlzc all <br />employccs. All programs are subjcct to budgct availability. <br /> <br />Annual Employec Event <br />. In apprcciation of City staff membcrs, thc City will host an annual employcc <br />lunchcon in January to rccognize employee contributions, rctiremcnts, years of . <br />scrvicc, and exccptional job performances over thc past year. <br /> <br />Years of Service <br />. Emp]oyces will bc rccognized for evcry five (5) ycars of employmcnt with thc <br />City. Employces shall receive a certificatc from thc City rccognizing them for <br />thcir years of servicc. The City will install a plaque in thc main lobby area at City <br />Hall recognizing City employccs for thcir tenure and scrvicc to the community. <br />Thc City Hall p]aque will bc available for public vicwing. Employecs will also <br />rcccivc a Icttcr from thc City Administrator and thcir Dcpartmcnt Hcad or <br />Supervisor acknowledging their ycars of service. A copy of this lettcr shall be <br />insertcd into thc City Council non-agenda packct and the cmployee's pcrsonnel <br />file. <br /> <br />Exccptional Pcrformancc <br />. Communication rcceived from rcsidcnts or other individuals rccognlzmg an <br />cmployee for their supcrior performancc or scrvice shall bc copied to thc City <br />Council in the non-agcnda packet, cmployec ncwslctter (pending employccs <br />approval), and the employce's personnel filc. <br /> <br />. <br />
