Thc purposc of sclccting an Employcc of the <br />Ycar is to: <br />. Rcward cmployccs who arc adjudgcd by their co-workcrs to bc dcscrving of <br />spccial recognition for thcir accomplishmcnts and contributions to the City. <br /> <br />Thc City of Ardcn Hills hcrcby establishcs a policy to rccognizc an employce of the ycar <br />in thc following manner: <br /> <br />Procedure: <br /> <br />. On an annual basis, cach cmploycc is givcn thc opportunity to nominatc a City <br />cmploycc (or oneself) for Employcc ofthc Ycar. <br />. Thc following categories reprcsent arcas which shall be uscd to dcterminc an <br />Employee of the Y car. Each nomination must rclatc to cither onc of the <br />catcgorics, and shall include a dcscription detailing spccific cost savings, <br />ilIDovations, examples of excmplary performancc, ctc. which thc nominated <br />cmployee has accomplished. <br />I. Exccptional Pcrformancc-Consistcnt high-Icvcl of dcpcndability, <br />reliability, responsibility and intcgrity ovcr a pcriod of employment with <br />the city arc itcms mcasurcd in this catcgory. Rccognition is givcn to high <br />quality ongoing consistcnt dcdication to the City. This catcgory also <br />rccognizcs individual(s) who consistcntly projcct a positivc imagc ofthc <br />City and its scrviccs to his/hcr co-workers and the gcneral public. <br />2. Significant Accomplishment- Oftcn an cmploycc is chargcd with thc <br />responsibility or assumcs thc rcsponsibility of complcting a significant <br />goal, activity, or project. Frcqucntly thc complction of such a project has <br />a major impact on thc operations ofthc dcpartmcnt or thc City as a whole. <br />This catcgory recognizcs cmployees for such accomplishmcnts. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Thcrc arc no rcstrictions on who can bc nominated and the samc cmploycc may <br />bc nominated more than oncc if diffcrcnt rationale is used. <br /> <br />. <br />
