Earlier this year as a part of the review of bids for lift stations 4&9, staff recommended that the
final four lift stations to be rehabilitated be done as a single project In 2006. We are requesting
authorization to complete engineering at this time to allow for bidding in the late fall which should provide
for a competitive bid environment. Initiating engineering at this time will also allow us to refine the
estimated project costs for lift stations during our review of the Capital Improvements Program this
summer. Final plans and specifications will be prepared with this authorization. Council will be requested
to authorize the advertisement of the project in October following preparation of plans and specifieations.

Advisory Commission Action:

Commission

Date

Action

.

- - ---------.-
f"lanrli!llL
PTRC

- _._--_.__._--_._-~-_._,._-'"-" "-,---_._---------_._---_._..._-_.~
NotApgli<<:.able___~______
. . .
