Coordinates construction projects with other govemment units or businesses in whicb the <br />City of Roseville or partner City has an interest-maintains a cooperative work relationship <br />at all times. <br /> <br />5. Communicates with residents and property owners regarding proposed projects and <br />engineering- relatcd issues. <br /> <br />6. Works cooperatively with developers to achieve high quality development in conformance <br />with City ordinance requirements and sound engineering principles. Reviews public <br />infrastructurc planning and design for private development projects. <br /> <br />7. Analyzes existing procedures and programs to recommend improvements to these systems. <br /> <br />8. Assists in providing supportive technical information to the Council, related boards, and <br />other departments on problems under consideration so the solution will best meet the needs <br />of the community. <br /> <br />9. Keeps supervisor or designee of partnership cities informed of important developments in <br />arca of accountability to insure prompt resolution of problems and steady progression on <br />assigned duties. Works with supervisor, management, or designee of partnership cities to <br />plan, direct, and coordinate a comprehensivc engineering program for replacement and <br />maintenance of City infrastructure. <br /> <br />10. Dirccts the acquisition of easements and rights-of-way to assure equitablc trcatment of all <br />parties involved. <br /> <br />11. Responsible for maintaining appropriate records of all engineering work performed so that it <br />will be available for reference when nccded. <br /> <br />12. Acts as project manager for engineer contracts with private consultants. <br /> <br />13. May supervise others in the performance of engineering-related duties. <br /> <br />14. Assists in dcvelopment of EngineeringlPublic Works budgets, capital improvements <br />program, and monitors annual budget expenditures. <br /> <br />15, Dirccts traffic counts as required. <br /> <br />16. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned. <br /> <br />Minimum Qualifications: <br /> <br />Minimum job requirements are a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and 3 - 5 years ofrelated <br />cxpcrience, or equivalent. Working knowledge of computer systems including GIS and CADD <br />software applications. Experience in municipal engineering is desirable.
