While most of the violations are not safety related, one of the violations relatcs to a <br />storage building on a vacant lot. Staff has inspected the building from the exterior and has <br />deemed it to be an unsafe structurc and a hazard to the public. Staff has sent thc owner of the <br />property numerous letters regarding the violations. These letters have resulted in little action <br />taken by the owner to resolve these issues. Below is a summary of correspondence between the <br />City and the owner over the past five years. <br /> <br />March 20, 2000 <br />Letter sent regarding two unlicensed vehicles at 3150 Hamline Ave. <br /> <br />March 23,2000 <br />Letter received by owner citing medical problems and requesting more time to resolve issue. <br /> <br />March 24, 2000 <br />Staff sent letter extcnding compliance date to April 14, 2000 <br /> <br />April 7th, 2000 <br />Owner states in letter that vehicles are inoperable and unlicensed. She is in poor health and will <br />try to get thc vehicles licenscd and sold as best she call. <br /> <br />April 18th, 2000 <br />Staff sends letter to owner asking her to respond by April 28th indicating when the vehicles will <br />be removed. <br />
