<br />October 5, 2005 <br />Sununary of the September 21, 2005 Storm Related Events. <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> into lift stations. <br />8:00 a.m. Two house fires are reported overnight in the City <br />8:00 a.m. Four damage assessment teams are organized and sent to the four <br /> precincts to survey tree damage. The teams estimate 2,500 trees are <br /> damaged within the City <br />9:00 a.m. Staff contacts Ramsey County to confirm that the compost site on <br /> Hudson Road will accept tree and brush debris. A phone call <br /> tracking system is implemented, including a response sheet for <br /> phone staff. <br />J 0:00 a.m. Staff is asked to track all storm-related expenses. Surrounding cities <br /> are contacted to coordinate short and long-term cleanup efforts. <br /> Staff contaets Ramsey County Emergency Management & <br /> Homeland Security and begins to file status update reports every <br /> three hours. <br />Noon South water tower overflows onto Red Fox Road due to a faulty <br /> control unit. Repairs are completed by 2:00 p.m. The City of <br /> Roseville is contacted and informed that a sending switch is faulty <br /> and to ignore all eleetrical commands. <br />4:30 p.m. Six lift stations are back on line. <br />9:00pm An additional two more lift stations are on line. <br /> <br />Fridav. September 23.2005 <br /> <br />TIME ACTIVITY <br />Mid11ight - Noon o & M Staff is monitoring the booster station and the remaining six <br /> lift stations that are without power. Staff attempts to complete <br /> repairs as needed. <br />9:00 a.m. Staff coordinates debris removal with the City of New Brighton. <br />10:00 a.m. Staff calls S & S Tree Service and coordinates a curbside pickup and <br /> hazardous tree removal program. <br />10:30 a.m. Mayor Aplikowski begins the process of securing volunteers for the <br /> debris drop-off site in New Brighton to begin next week <br />Noon Two more lift stations are on line for a total of 10 working lift <br /> stations. <br />1 :00 p.m. Staff coordinates the development of a cleanup plan and distribution <br /> of a flyer. Staff begins to distribute the flvers city wide. <br />2:00 p.m. Two more lift stations are on line and the booster station is on line. <br />3:30 p.m. The remaining two lift stations are on line.
