Remarks and Introduction <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski stated once a year they held as required by law a Truth-in Taxation hearing <br />where residents were invited to speak. <br /> <br />B. Explanation of the Truth-In-Taxation Process and Timetable <br /> <br />Mr. Siddiqui explained the Truth-In-Taxation process. <br /> <br />C. Review ofthe City's 2005 Accomplishments <br /> <br />Ms. Wolfe highlighted accomplishments the City made in 2005. <br /> <br />D. Overview ofthe Proposed 2006 Citv Budl!et <br /> <br />Mr. Siddiqui presented an overview of the proposed 2006 City Budget. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski invited members of the audience to make comment. There were no <br />comments made. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated he found it remarkable that when this presentation was put <br />together every year, the amount of money the levy translates to in terms of individual residences <br />for a medium value home was $43.67 per month. He stated when he paid his bills recently, he <br />realized he was paying almost the same amount of money to have internet delivered to his home, <br />which was $45.00 per month. He stated the City provided a lot of services for this amount of <br />money and he believed this was a bargain. <br /> <br />Mr. Siddiqui stated if there was no need to continue this hearing, the next step would be to add <br />the actions to approve the tax levy and budget for 2006 to the next Council meeting to be held <br />next week. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski stated there was no need for a continuation ofthe hearing and directed staff <br />to prepare all ofthe necessary paperwork. <br /> <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski adjourned the Regular City Council Meeting meeting at 6:55 p.m. <br /> <br />. <br />
