.

.

-.

· April 13,2006 thc City and URS presented this information to 3511 explaining why a 5
foot shift east was not an option but adjusting the apron grade and rcmoving the 5 foot
tangent section are viable options. Two alignment options were presented, the
perpcndicular aligrunent and an alignment which had a slight curve to the south. With
no 5 foot tangent section and a 7.5% apron, the perpendicular aligrunent has a grade of
12.85% but if the apron grade is lowered to 2.0% then the grade is 11.99%. For the
southern alignmcnt with no 5 foot tangent scction and a 7.5% apron, the grade is lO.31%
but if the apron grade is lowered to 2.0% then the grade is 9.68%. The perpendicular
option was still the version that 35l 1 preferred, although, even with the improvements,
still increased the driveway grade slightly from 1 1.8% to 1 1 .99%. The resident seemed
encouraged with the fact that they would be getting a new driveway surface all the way
to their garage apron, their front yard would be expanding because of this alignment, and
they would have the perpendicular alignment they prefer.
