Rcquest for Council Action dated January 9, 2006, authorizing URS to complete final <br />plans; <br />· Minutes from December 19, 2005 Work Session <br />. Minutes from August 29, 2005 Council Meeting with Public Hearing <br />. Corrcspondence related to thc assessment of the Josephine Hills Association on the 2003 <br />Street Reconstruction Project. <br />. An e-mail from Tom Franz of the Arden Hills Island Beach Club regarding the possible <br />assessmcnt of the Beach Club <br /> <br />DlSCUSSION <br /> <br />Rain gardens <br /> <br />The drainage approach for the project has been refined as a result of discussions with Rice <br />Creek Watershed, the Island Beach Club and various residents in the neighborhood. The <br />current design includes the use of portions of the Island Beach Club property, existing private <br />ponds north of the Beach Club wetland and a portion of the private property adjaccnt to Lift <br />Station #3 for ponding. There has been a strong interest expressed by residents and the <br />watershed to include upstream infiltration by the use of infiltration rain gardens. The current <br />dcsign has identified approximately 16 locations where rain gardens would benefit the <br />function and effectivencss of the ponds and sewer network.
