<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Warming House Status Mcmo <br />May 3, 2006 <br />Pagc 6 of6 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDA nON: <br />Staff recommends removing thc warming house building at Valentine Park and to maintain the <br />rink without staffing into thc future for the following reasons: <br /> <br />(I) Attendancc is always low at this site and continues to decline. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />The building continucs to flood every spring, causing maintenance issucs. <br /> <br />The amount of salary we savc by closing the warming house at Valentine Park could <br />be used to supplemcnt the rental of mobile units at Hazelnut Park and Freeway Park. <br /> <br />Slaff further rccommends that mobile units be utilizcd at Frceway Park and Hazelnut Park for the <br />following reasons: <br />(I) The buildings are in need of major repairs. <br />(2) The buildings are only utilized three months out of the year. <br />(3) The buildings are nol aesthetically pleasing. <br /> <br />At a minimum, staff recommends that major repairs be done on the Freeway Park and Hazelnut <br />Park buildings before next season. <br /> <br />\MeITQ-ilwt.us'.Ardenl lills\PR&PW\Recrc31ion\MEMOS\Memo to Cadmin W<llllling houses06_DOC <br />
