Five years of progressively responsible experience in the parks and recreation filed. <br />. One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience. <br /> <br />LANGUAGE SKILLS <br /> <br />Ability to read and interpret documents such as reports, policies, and regulations, <br />contracts, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare reports and correspondence. Ability <br />to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with supervisors, City staff, <br />employees, volunteers, elected and appointed officials and the general public, <br /> <br />MATHEMATICAL SKILLS <br /> <br />Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. <br />Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. <br /> <br />OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <br /> <br />Experience organizing, planning, and running youth and adult programs. <br /> <br />General knowledge of computer operations and the ability to use various types of <br />computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Aceware, cable software, Adobe <br />Acrobat, etc, <br /> <br />Effective problem solving and communication skills, <br /> <br />Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, developers, architects, <br />engineers, owners and the general public. <br /> <br />Experience working with registration software and report production, <br />
