Merrick moved that A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZiNG MAYOR- <br />:'., TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS AND OTHER VILLAGES WITHIN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT NO. 621 TO ESTABLISH MEANS AND SUPPORT OF A TEEN CENTER DIREC- <br />TOR OR COORDINATOR be approved as read, Resolution No. 7/-33 ; <br />seconded by S, Olmen. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />After dtscusslon, G. Henderson moved that the motion be amended by <br />adding the following: <br /> <br />5. That all agreements be subject to Council approval. <br /> <br />The amended motion was seconded by S. Olmen and carrIed unanlmol.lsly. <br /> <br />The original motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Charles Perry Park Plans <br />Eng/neer Don Christofferson presented plans for Charles Perry Park. <br /> <br />After review of the plans. and discussion, R. Herrick advised the <br />Councl' that completion of the southern portion of the park Is cOntem- <br />plated by The Parks and Recreation Committee this year, including the <br />road and reST room building and field lighTing; The n~rthern portion <br />of the park is to be graded and compacted for future Improvement as <br />shOwn on the plans. <br /> <br />R. Herri~k moved ~hat the COuncil approve the plans as presented; <br />authori~lng Banister Engineering Company to adverTise for bids on August <br />August 12 and 19 In the New Brighton Bulletin; bid opening to be <br />scheduled at II :00 a.m. on MOnday~August 30, 1971 at the Village Hal I <br />by the Engineer and Clerk AdminIstrator. The motion was seconded by <br />G. Henderson and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Val~ntlne Park Status Report <br />R. Herrick advised that the rough grading has been done in Valentine <br />Park. <br /> <br />Fe ere/sen Tree - Re ort b Dr. French <br />Mr. William Feyereisen, 4 61 North Haml ine Avenue, advised the Council <br />that he Concurs with Dr. French's findings that the tree In question on <br />his property was infected with Oak Wilt, which caused its death, <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR HENRY J.
