Perry Park Plans <br />R. HerrIck asked Engineer Lund about the status of Chas. Perry Park <br />plans. Engineer Lund reported that his office is continuing to <br />work on the plans, but that they need some further Instructions from <br />the Parks and Recreation Committee. Engineer Lund was asked to con- <br />tact Committee members by phone. ' <br /> <br />Arden Hills North American Indl~n Cultural Workshop <br />R. Herrick remInded the Council and all others who mlpht be Interested <br />of the Indian Cultural Week, July 12-16, sponsored by ou~ Human <br />Rights Commission and Bethel College. He urged attendance particularly <br />to the Pow Wow to be held on Friday, July 16. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR HENRY J. CREPEAU, JR. - General Government and <br />Pub II c Safety <br /> <br />Snelllno Avenue Service Road <br />Motion was made by S. Olmen, seconded by R. Herrick, that Resolution <br />No. 7/-1./ requesting Ramsey County to close one end of the Snelling <br />Avenue service road be approved. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />1972 Metro Sewer Board8udQet <br />Mayor Crepeau appointed E. G. Henderson to attend an Informational <br />meeting relating to the 1972 Sewer Board Budget and allocation of <br />municipal sewer charges. The meeting wi II be held Wednesday, July 14, <br />1971, at 9:00 a.m. at the Brooklyn Center City Hall. <br /> <br />Lake Contro I <br />Mayor Crepeau reported that he and Lt. Sexton attended a meetln" <br />sponsored by the R.C.L.M. on the question of who controls the lakes <br />In Ramsey County. <br /> <br />A future hearing will be held by the Minn. Dept. of Natural Resources <br />to make the determination of control responsibilities. <br /> <br />Roger Moberg volunteered to attend the hearing If the Council needed <br />his service. Village Council and Mr. Moberg to be notifIed by <br />Clerk Administrator as soon as hearing date has been set. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR STROMQUIST <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Blue Cross-Mil Rate Increase <br />A letter, dated July 2, 1971, from Blue Cross-Mil, detaIling 8 rate <br />Increase In group health Insurance was reviewed by L. Stromquist. <br />The two-year Insurance agreement between Blue Cross-Mil and Arden <br />Hills expires July 30, 1971. The Council agreed to continue the <br />the Insurance coverage at the increased rate on a month to month <br />basis, pending a study and review by the VIllage Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Monthly Claims Payment Date <br />L. Stromquist recommended that the monthly date for Council approval <br />of Vii lage claims be changed from the last Monday of the month to <br />the second Monday of the month to expedite accounting detail.
