Herrick stated that he would like to see a compromise between <br />the Planning Commission and Pemtom, Inc. reached re requIrements <br />proposed under Section 5.lon maximum number of lots per acre and <br />the number of square feet required for lot area per dwellino unit. <br /> <br />The ordinance was referred back to the Planning CommissIon. <br /> <br />Amendment to Zonlna Ordinance <br />Upon motion by J. Hollenhorst, seconded by E.G. Henderson(-~. <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 99, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO <br />REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY ANNEXED FROM THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />was given a final reading and approved; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ResolutIon Memorializing Worth G. Read <br />Upon motion by J. Hollenhorst, seconde,d by E. G. Henderson, a <br />Resolution memorialiZing former Treasurer Worth G. Read was passed <br />by the Council. Motion carried unanimously. Attorney Courtney <br />read the Resolution aloud. The Council requested L. Stromoulst to <br />furnish a copy of the Resolution to Mrs. Worth G. Read. <br /> <br />Water lnili-..ovement. 68- LEasements <br />The Counc I I author I zed Attorney Courtney to .111-stl"uct Attorney . <br />Salland to prOCeed to try to obtaIn the remaining nineteen property <br />easements in the Water Improvement 68-1 area, to try to obtaIn such <br />easements for $10.00 to $15.00 token easement fees, and to examIne <br />Court House records to determine that the property titles are <br />satisfactory. <br /> <br />PhIlIp Sampson . <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed a letter from Attorney W. Roy Johnson <br />relating to the maIntenance of the pro~ertt donated to the V111age <br />by Mr. Sampson. Mr. Glen Beggln, Parks and Recreation CommIttee <br />ChaIrman, reported that the grass has been cut on the property, a <br />park bench has beefl Installed and that a plaq~e wi II soon be In- <br />stalled. He further reported that the grass is to be cut on the <br />two adjoinIng lots and that some playground equipment will be put <br />on those lots. <br /> <br />R. Herrick stated he wIll contact L. Stromquist about the answer <br />from the Village to Attorney Johnson's letter. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />McDonald & Associates Contract Adjustment R~quest <br />A letter and report, dated June 28, 1971, from Engineer Short re <br />this matter was submitted to the Council for study. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />George Bona Damaee Claim <br />Engineer Lund reported that Geo. Bona, 4463 Highway 10, Is asking <br />the Village to reimburse hIm $300.00 for damage to his property <br />because of a delay in being able to connect to the sanitary .sewer. <br />Mr. Bona's letter of complaint and Engineer Lund's report, dated <br />June 22, 1971, re the matter were reviewed. <br /> <br />After discussion, the Council agreed to deny the claim of Mr. Bona; <br />they asked L. Stromquist to Inform Mr. Bona of the reasons for denial, <br />as detailed in EngIneer lund's report. <br /> <br />ComplaInt - Leonard Grudnoske <br />Mr. Leonard Grudnoske, 4445 Highway 10, reported that the sanitary <br />sewer contractor has been very lax In cleanup work following Sanitary <br />Sewer Improvements 12-13 construction, and that the sod In front of <br />his house which was laid was not satisfactory. Engineer Lund reported <br />that the subcontractor, Houle Landscape, was told by the Banister <br />office to remove and replace the unsatiSfactory sod, but that as of, <br />today nothing has been done.
