The <br />Council felt Highway i-35V1 would be a natural boundary line and would <br />be Ideal for police and fire protection. <br />REPORT OF CbUNCILMAN OLI�qEN - Publ(c 4Jorks <br />Water Hydrant Accessibility Matter <br />Maintenance Supervisor Everett eeecher requested the Council to con- <br />stder requests from residents to place fences and/or bushes around water <br />hydrants, which abut property lines. Discussion followed regarding <br />the safety factor involved, as the hydrants must be readily acces- <br />sible. <br />The Council requested Mr. Beecher to contact other municipalities for <br />their mathods of solving th(s probiem. <br />REPORT OF MAYOR BJORNDAHL - Parks and Recreation and Numan Rights <br />Floral Park PlannEnq <br />Mayor Bjorndaht reported that at the joint meeting of the Parks and <br />Recreation and the Civic Center Committees, it was decided to seek <br />the advice of a planner for a concept plan for fihe entire 20 acre Floral <br />Park sfte considering both park area and civ(c center location. <br />Pians for the Ingerson Park will also be drawn. <br />• Mayor's Announcement Not to Ffle for Office <br />Mayor BJorndahl announced that he wili not file for reelection for <br />mayor for personal reasons. <br />REPORT Of CLERK ADMINISTRATOR IORRAINE STROMQUIST <br />Proposed Buiidinq Code Fee Revisions <br />Cierk Administrator distributed comparison charts to the Council which <br />showed the heating, plumbing, electrica�, septic tank and drain field <br />feas present�y charged by Ard.en Nilis and by other municipalities. <br />Eugene Pakoy, Arden Hilfs Heating Inspector, was present. After a <br />lengthy discussion regarding fees, i-he Councii referred the matter to <br />Attorney Courtney to dratt an amendment to the Duilding Code, incor- <br />� porating the suggested changes; the Council wili schedule a special <br />meefing with the village inspectors to further discuss the proposed <br />changes. <br />- 3 - <br />
