� <br />. <br />Minutes af Regular Council Meeting <br />Page Two <br />August 27, 1979 <br />Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that Counctl apprave the <br />extension of Bob Perry's employment to September 14th and authortze <br />temporary employment of 5tephen Gedo at $4.50/hr ta Septembe� 24ih. <br />Motion carried una�imously. <br />ParkTn on Gre Fox Road and Dunla tn #kie Industrlal Park <br />After dtscussion re Joha�sen's memo if 8/24 79 re on-street parking <br />problems in tha industrial park, Councll aufihorized the placement <br />of "No Parktng Here to Corner" slgns 40 feet from the tnterseCtion <br />of Duniap Avenue and Grey Fox Road; reterred the matter to the Public <br />Safety Committee for (ts rscommendat(on to Councit. <br />(McNtesh was requested to atert the Sherift's Otfice cf the on-street <br />parking problem in the Duniap, 6rey Fox Road area.) <br />REPORT OF VICLAGE ENG7NEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN <br />• Acceptance of Streets and Utilfties - Janet Estates <br />Counctl was referred to letter of August 17, 1979 from Engtneer Christ- <br />offersen, recommending accept�nce of the project. Chrtstoffe�sen <br />�oted thnt the curb section has been replaced; street stiil drains <br />slowly, but is at a very.fiat grade f.5'�) xhich he considers to be <br />tAe mTntmum; doe5 not crsate a problem. <br />Woodburn moved, seconded by Hanson, that Cou�cfi accept ProjeCfi No. <br />SS-W-P-ST 78-6 and approve Payment No. 4 and Finaf submitted by <br />Erwin Montgomery. Motion carried unanimousiy. <br />Recommendat(on to Overlav Part of Streets In Karth Lake Impravement <br />Christotf9rsen discussed the soi) condittons in the Karth Lake improve- <br />ments; noted that certain streets, even after extensive pafching, <br />have "bird baths"; euspects tha� settlemant wtll sttli occur; suggested <br />that excess lmprovement monies, no4 spent to date, be used to make <br />eorrect(ons next spring. Christoftersen explalned that the contractor <br />foilowed the specif(cations ahich are considered to be "rou�inefy <br />good"; asphaltic concrete was used, which should hold; nated that <br />streets are not ba�d noN; suggested that Counctl wait to see w��� <br />develops; noted o�e spot of "alltgator", whtch�is caused by <br />,��_grade settlement. <br />Christoffersen noted that contractor Mill be asking for Fi�a!
