<br />r "_11' <br />v\"_. <br /> <br />j; <br /> <br />i&'" <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden HII Is <br />Monday, October II, 1971, 8:00 p.m. <br />Vi Ilage Hal I <br /> <br />Ca II to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Crepeau. <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />I Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Crepeau, Councilmen Olmen, Hol tenhorst, Henderson. <br />ilnd Herrick <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist, Treasurer <br />Richard O'Kelly, Attorney Vlncer1t P. Courtney, <br />Engineers Donald Lund and Donald Christoffersen <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The minutes of the Regu I ar Counc II meet I ng of September 27, 1971, <br />were approved as amended. <br /> <br />L.W.V. Informational Handpoo~ <br /> <br />Mrs. Gloria Kuehn and Mrs. Mary Blomberg, Arden Hills League of Women <br />Voters, showed the Council sample mark-up caples of the new L.W.V. <br />informational Village handbook, stating that it Is expected to be <br />ready the week of October 18. 1,500 copies wi II be distributed to <br />Village residents and business places. C.oples are available for $1.00 <br />per copy. Mrs. Blomberg offered the Village 1,000 caples at $~50 per <br />copy. Atty. Courtney stated that, off hand, he felt the Village <br />could legally buy such copies for their use, If needed. Treasurer <br />O'Kelly stated he was In favor of the Village purchasing such COpies, <br />but felt they should be given away by the Village to persons wanting <br />or needing the Information Instead of sold. Atter diSCUSSion. motion <br />was made by Hollenhorst, seconded by Henderson, that the Village b~y <br />1,000 copies at $.50 per copy; motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The booklets bought by the Village are to be distributed from the <br />Administrative office. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Belair Construction Company Contract <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney reviewed hIs letter, dated October 5, 1971, and the <br />rider he prepared to be added to the contract. Motion was made by <br />Herrick. seconded by Hollenhorst, that the contract and rIder be <br />approved and that it be signed by the Mayor and Clerk Administrator; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Red Fox Road Slope Easement <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney reviewed his letter, dated October 5, 1971, and <br />recommended Village release of a slope easement on property owned by <br />George Reiling. Motion was made by Olmen, seeonded by Hollenhorst. <br />that the partial release of the easement, as prepared by Atty. Courtney <br />and attached, be approved; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Hue Grant <br /> <br />Atty. Courtney reviewed his letter of October II, 1971 regarding the. <br />status of the final requlsitioh of the Hue Grant for Water Improvement <br />66-2 and 66-3.
