Bethel COlleqe Symposium The symposium subject will be Understanding, Ordering and Improving Suburbia and will be sponsored by Bethel College and WCCO radio. It will be held from noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 1971, at the Bethel Campus. The Council agreed to pay the $10.00 fee for the Village officials who can attend and requested Mrs. Shirley Ludlow, Planning Commission member, to attend, if possible. 1.0.O.F. Open House Mayor Crepeau presented an invitation from the I.O.O.F., St. Paul lodge No.2, to Council members to attend an open house, Sunday, 'ctober 17, at Lake Josephine. REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR STROMQUIST Delinquent UtllltvAccounts, Rosolutlon ,No. 71-50 Motion was made by Hollenhorst, seconded by Olmen, that Resolution No. 71-50, certifying delinquent utill~y accounts to the County for Collec- tion, be approved; motion carried unanimoUSly. Federal Census &: Mrs. Stromquist reported briefly on conversations with the Minnesota Highway Department, District Census Bureau, Secretary of State's office, and the Metro CouncIl concerning a new census for Arden Hills. If Arden Hills can obtain a new census and, .if a population count of 5,000 or over can be certified from the Federal Census Bureau to the Secretary of State on or before Oecember 31. 1971, the VIllage of Arden Hills wi II qualify for Highway User Funds for 1972. The Counci I authorized Clerk Administrator Stromquist to write to th~-:--. Oirector of the Census, Washington, D.C., and request cost of a census and other details whiCh are needed to conduct such census. Claims Motion was made by Henderson, seconded by Olmen, that the claims and accounts as listed for October 1971 be approved as submItted; motion carried unanimOUSly.
