Motion was made by Henderson, seconded by Herrick, <br />that Resolution No. 71-48, adopting the 1972 budget and tax levy, be <br />approved as amended. Motion carried unanimously. Clerk Adm:lnistretor <br />was asked to wi thho I d cert I f I cat I on to the county for a short perl od of <br />time, pending action by the State Legislature on a neW tax law. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Stromquist and Accountant Charlotte McNlesh <br />were commended by Councilman Henderson for a Job well done on the <br />1972 budget. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN STANLEY OLMEN - Public Works <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Maintenance Department <br /> <br />Councilman Olmen reported that Mr. Wayne Brunette wI II assume <br />Mr. Everett Beecher's duties after October 15, 1971. on a temporary <br />basis, pending a decision by the Council as to how a replacement is <br />to be made. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN RONALD HERRICK - Parks and Recreation. Human RIghts, <br />and Ordinance Review <br /> <br />OahWilt <br /> <br />Counci Iman Herrick briefly reported on the current oak wi It survey <br />and asked Clerk Administrator to check with Or. French, Unlvers1ty <br />of Minnesota, to find oUT if there Is an alternate method TO. the <br />burning of diseased oak trees. <br /> <br />B]Jnbow Hills Recreational Areas <br /> <br />r'?r. Herrick reported that the Parksa~d Recreation Committee would <br />like to discuss the recreational areas proposed tor Rainbow Hills <br />AdditIon with Devaloper Donald Partridge. They feel that recreational. <br />areas for all Village residents should be provided, as well as those <br />proposed for Rainbow Hills residents. A <br />recommendation concerning their request for funds will be given to <br />the Council following the meeting. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR CREPEAU - General Government, Public Safety <br /> <br />Pakistani Relief Drive - UNICEF <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A letter from D.
