Courtney, Engineers <br />Donald Lund and Donald Christoffersen and Maintenance <br />Supervisor Everett Beecher. <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />ApRroval Of Minutes <br />The Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of August 9, 1971, Were <br />approved as amended. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />-I <br /> <br />A. J. Kleldon Property <br />Mr. and Mrs~ A. J. Kleidon and Mr. Jack Wiess, their spokesman. In- <br />formed the Council that to date they have not reached a satisfactory <br />sales agreement with James Adams re the Kleldon property at 1956 <br />Mounds Avenue. They Indicated that the cost of an appraisal would <br />be prohlbltQ~ Attorney Courtney stated that the Council has no <br />function in this matter. After considerable discussion, Mayor Crepeau ~. <br />stated that he would discuss the problem with Mr. James Adams. <br /> <br />~en Hills Javcees <br />Water Conservation ProQram . <br />Mr. William Benzick. Arden Hills Jaycees. asked the Council for <br />approval of a "Conserve Our Water in Arden HIlls Project". The <br />project will Involve distribution to each Arden HI tis resldenc.of <br />some literature plus a briCk, which Is to be put Into the toilet <br />tank of each home. According to Mr. Benzick, the brick wIll dls- <br />pJace a certain amount of water but will allow the same amount of' <br />water pressure, thus conserving water. He estimated that if on.- <br />brick is used in each of the approximate 1000 ArdenHllls homes. <br />-and If the toilet is flushed an average of three times pardey In~' <br />each home, a total of about 150,000 to 200,000 gallons of wat.r ~III <br />be conserved annually. The Village Councl-I approved the projeCT. <br /> <br />Senior CitIzens Assistance <br />Mr. Bob Anderson reported that the Arden H III II Jaycees are p lanttlng <br />,to offer an assIstance program to .y Illage senior cltlz~ns. ,!hereby <br />Vlnage Jaycee melllber!. wi 1.1 perform. on a voluntary basis, he!-p In <br />cutting down trees. hauling black dirt, painting rooms, moving large <br />objects such as refrigerators up or downstairs etc. The project _ <br />will be eXPlained in the same literature sent out with the brick. <br /> <br />Blood Donation Pro~ram <br />Mr. Benzick reported that the Jaycees are trying to be of help In <br />a current blood donation program sponsored by the School Olstrfe.t. <br />The Jaycees hope to place an additional mobile unit at County Road D <br />and Falrvlew Avenue. <br /> <br />RE~ORT OF VILLAGE ATTORNEY VINCENT P.
