Motion carried. <br /> <br />Change Order No.6 <br />Motion was ma~e by Henderson, seconded by Hollenhorst, that Change <br />Order No.6, to extend Contract time to September I, 1971, for EIVlew <br />Construction Company, be approved. In favor: Crepeau, OlmEl"O, Hollen- <br />horst, Henderson. Opposed: Herrick. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Certificate of Substantial Com~!etion , <br />A request that the Village Council sign a "Certificate of Substantial <br />Completion" effective August 12, 1971, for EIView Construction Company, <br />was not acted upon by the Council at this meeting. <br /> <br />Village Hall Inspection <br />Councilman Henderson reviewed a suggestlon by Archltect~Leo Monster, <br />Harty, Elvlng and ASSOciates, that washed rock be placed around the <br />outside perimeter of the Village Hall as soon as possible to prevent <br />the building from becoming stained by the soli splashing up on It. Mr. <br />Monster also said that sod should be laid as soon as possible to prevent <br />erosion of the soil. <br /> <br />The Counc II discussed the matter and fe I tthat the V III age ma I ntenance <br />crew should perform most of the iork on the project. Supervisor <br />Beecher was a$ked to check the existing landscape drawing on file at. <br />the administration Office, obtain some Informal bids from landscape <br />contractors and determine whether such landscape contr~ctors are able <br />to establish proper elevations for the project. <br /> <br />REPORT Of COUNCILMAN STANLEY OLMEN - Publ ic Works <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of Councl iman Olmen, Mayor Crepeau appointed <br />Mr. Charles McCann as Publ Ie Works Committee Chairman for the balance <br />of the year 1971. <br /> <br />Clerk AdminIstrator Stromquist to provide Mr. McCann with a prop~sed <br />1972 Budget and other necessary records. . <br /> <br />Councilman Olmen asked.thet Mr. McCann schedule a Public Works Com- <br />mittee Meeting for September 8, 1971, at the Public Works Office, <br /> <br />Janitorial Service - Village Hall and Maintenance B~llSlma <br />Informal bids for Janitorlal.ervlces for the Village Hall and the_ <br />"Maintenance Building were reviewed by Clerk Administrator Stromquist. <br /> <br />After dlscussidn, the Coufici I agreed to hire the low bidder, Abel <br />Maintenance, for a total of $65.00 per month for the services, as <br />.detall~d in the bid submitted August 21. 1971. . <br /> <br />REPORT Of COUNCilMAN RONALD HERRICK - Parks and Recreation, Human Rights, <br />Ordinance Review <br /> <br />'. <br />Council man Henderson suggeste.d that tile Pa rks and Recreat I on Committee <br />discuss i"he tiCket cost to the Rosevi lIe Ice Arena with -Rosevllle, <br />aSking that tile ticket rate be equallzed.for both Arden Hills and <br />Roseville residents. <br /> <br />Community One <br />Mr. Hlilrrick reported on a meetIng at North Oaks .re the Community .00$ <br />Youth Program. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
