Herrick moved that Resolution Nop ____ be approved, declaring <br />Lot 10, Block 5, Arden Hil Is as non-conservation I~nd, and authorizing <br />Attorney Courtney to proceed to acquire the tax forfeited land for <br />the Village, to be left as "open space", as recommended by the Parks <br />and Recreation Committee. CREPEAU JR. - General Government and Public <br />Safety <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Explosives Ordinance <br />The Council read the Explosives Ordinance in Its entirety, after which <br />R. Herrick moved that AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE I~ANUFACTURE, STORiNG, <br />HANDLING, USE AND SALE OF EXPLOSIVES AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR <br />VIOLATION THEREbF be given a second and final reading and be approved <br />as read and amended; authorizing its publication; seconded by S. Olmen. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (J ayes) <br /> <br />1971 WaQe Rate - Public Works Union 49 Employees <br />After review of the 1971 wage rate proposal for Public Works Union 49 <br />Employees, S. Olman moved that the Council approve the 1971~$60.00 <br />per month wage increase, retroactive to January I, 1971, as presented, <br />reflecting the fol lowing changes: <br /> <br />Light Equ ipment <br />Sewer and Water <br />Heavy Equipment <br /> <br />$60.00/mo. Rc.346/hr or .35/hr <br /> <br />1970 Rate <br />4.09 <br />4.21 <br />4.49 <br /> <br />1971 Rate <br />4.44 <br />4.56 <br />4.84 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Also approving the 1972 wage increase In the amount of $50.00 per <br />month, or the cost of living Increase, whichever is greater, as <br />approved by the M.A.M.A. Group; seconded by R. Herrick. Motion <br />carried unanimously.
