CREPEAU, JR.- General Government and Public <br />Safety <br />1970 Highway Safety Award <br />Mayor Crepeau read a letter re the 1970 Highway Safety Award, which <br />was presented to the Arden HII Is Police Department; advising the <br />Counc II that he, LI eutenant Sexton and Pub II c Safety Comm I ttee Cha I r- <br />man, William Ruppel, attended the ~ward dinner. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Police De artment Salar Schedule <br />Mayor repeau presented the ollce Department Salary Schedule, as <br />recommended by the Public Safety Committee, for Council approval. <br /> <br />R. Herrick moved that the Council approve the schedule, as presented <br />and attached; seconded by E. G. Henderson, The motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br /> <br />Metropolitan Development Guide - Metro Council <br />Mayor Crepeau advised the Council that the Village has reeelved a copy <br />of "MetropOlitan Development Guide", from the Metro Council, which <br />ho referred to the Planning Commission for review. <br /> <br />L. Stromqu st prese" ed an application for restaur- <br />ant license for Northwestern COllege for Council approval, advising <br />that it has been recommended for approval by Police Lieutenant Sexton <br />and Public Safety Committee Chairman, William Ruppel. <br /> <br />R. Herrick moved that the Council approve the restaurant license for <br />Northwestern College; seconded by S. Olmen. Motion carried unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />n Citizen Petition for Reduced Utlllt Ratesi <br />L, Stro~qulst presented a petl ion requesting reduced utility rates <br />for senior citizens, to the Council. The Council referred the petition <br />to the Finance Committee for its study and recommendations to the <br />Council. . <br /> <br />L. Stromquist advised the Counci that Mr. Taylor Withrow has requested <br />to meet with representatives of Arden Hills re topographical Information <br />on the County Road Improvements. <br /> <br />L. Stromquist was requested to schedule a 4:00 p.m. meeting at the <br />Village Hall one day next week with Mr. Withrow, D. Lund, S. Oimen, <br />E. Beecher and H. Crepeau. <br /> <br />Statement Re Mobile Home Court Ordinance - Mrs. James Adams <br />L. Stromquist presented written st~tements, submitted by Mrs. James <br />Adams re the proposed Mobile Home Court Ordinance, to the Council. <br /> <br />The Council referred the statements to the Planning Commission for <br />consideration and recommendations to the Council. <br /> <br /> <br />-6- <br />
