Olmen moved that two temporary employees be hired <br />for thirty days for cleaning sanitary sewers this summer; flushing of <br />all sewers to be done first to determine rodding necessities; seconded <br />by R. Herrick. Motion carrIed unanimouSly. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Street Maintenance <br />S. Olmen repor~+hat the Public Works Committee requested E. Beecher <br />to obtain costs of patching, ~eal coating and overlays and refer to <br />Mr. Kemper. If cost estimates are over the budget, the Committee will <br />consider the matter and determine the course of action. <br /> <br />Diesel Fuel Tank <br />S. Olmen reported that the Public Works CommIttee recommends the <br />purchase of a 300-gallon diesel fuel tank at a cost of $60.00, to be <br />paid from the Publ ic Works Department budget. <br /> <br />l~o 4-way Radio Purchase <br />S. Olmen reported that the Publ ic Works Committee recommends the <br />purchase of two 4-way vehicle radios from the PublIc Safety Department <br />at a cost of $800.00; funds to be transferred later In the year, If <br />available, or will be Included in next year's budget. <br /> <br />Water and Sewer Imp-rovements <br />S. Olmen advIsed the Council that the Public Works Committee will <br />tour the Vii lage after the water and sewer contractors have completed <br />their projects and before final approval Is given. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN RON HERRICK - Parks and RecreatIon, Human Rights <br />and Ordinanca RevIew <br /> <br />Oa k W I I t <br />R. Herrick Informed the Council that a Resolution should be adopted <br />to effect the removal of trees Infected with Oak Wilt. After resolu- <br />tion was read by L. Stromquist, R. HerriCk moved that the Council <br />adopt the resolution, as read, seconded by E. G. Henderson. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />DOQ Ordinance <br />R. Herrick reported that the Ordinance Review Comm1ttee has recommended <br />amendments to the Dog Ordinance. <br /> <br />After diSCUSSion, the Council referred the study of a "Cat and Dog" <br />OrdInance, and the recommended amendments of the'Ordinance Review <br />Committee, to the Planning Commission for Its study and recommendations <br />to the Council. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Disposable BeveraQe Container Ordinance <br />R. Herrick reported that the Ordinance Review Committee deferred con- <br />sideration of this ordinance pending legislation on the State level. <br /> <br />Snowmobile Ordinance <br />R. Herrick reported that the Ordinance Review CommIttee tabled this <br />ordinance study pending changes In legislation. <br /> <br />ExplosIve Ordlna~ <br />R. Herrick reported that the Ordinance Review Committee recommends <br />Council approval of the Explosive Ordinance, as submitted. <br /> <br />L. Stromquist was requested to provIde the Council members with <br />copies of the Ordinance draft. <br /> <br />Ordinance CodIfication <br />R. Herrick advIsed the Council that Ordinance Review Committee ChaIrman, <br />John Sui Ilvan, will coordinate the system proposed with Clerk Adminis- <br />trator L. Stromquist. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
