Ptinutes of Regular Council T+Ieeting, Au�-ust 31, 1959 <br />•�� z <br />At the request of Jol�n Rysgaard, Trustee DeLange to ask Mr. Krannak to complete road stabiliza- <br />tion in £ront of Rysgaar3's iiouse at Rolling Hills Road and Gramsie before winter, or Village <br />to complete it with ftinds fmm performance bond. <br />Roger Short presented detailed sewer plans for Sewer Improvement #1 and 2. Motion made by <br />Crepeau, seconded by Kennedy to omit all lateral construction from manhole 5 to manhole 9. <br />• NIotion passed. <br />Nlayor's Report: N1a,yor Ashbach reported the TCA officials approved our letter re: sewer lease <br />to Minneapolis City Council. <br />Mayor Ashbach reaa'�a letter from Uil�ge of Tdew Brignton thanlcing our Ci¢i Defense Department <br />for help during their Old Timers Tdi�t Cele�ration. <br />P4ayor Ashbach left the meeting at this tine at 10:30 p,m. Trustee Crepeau was acting mayor <br />for balance of ineetixg, <br />PUBLIC WORRS COI�II�IITT�: Tnzstee DeLange reported on road work being done and announced that <br />second cutting of weeds has been started Monday, August 31. <br />DeLznge reported he has not been able to have volley ball court oiled at p7ayground as Eng•ineer <br />Carley has not completed layout of covrt. <br />• Public Ltelfare: No further report. <br />Rzblic Safetv: rTption made by Crepeau� secor�d by DeLartge that the Grotto Club discontinue <br />holdis� teenage dances. Motion passed. <br />Motion made by Crepeau, seconded by I{ennedy that Bill Nielson be appointed to the regular <br />Uillage Police Force beginning Se�t�ber 1 for balance of 1959. �'Zotion passed. <br />Crepeau reported thUt Mounds View school District requested school patrol by our police de- <br />partment for Mounds View High School and I,ake Johanna School,�t the sug'gestion of Treasurer <br />Read, Council requested Clerk to write to achool diatrict to see if they could sid us financially <br />in this matter as the schools serve more thmn just the Village o£ Arden Hil].s, <br />Fin�nce Committee Renort: Mrs. Stromquist reported that plumbing and electrical inspection <br />revisions to Building Cale are still being �udied hy Committee. <br />The Finance Committee recommendad a time limit of to September 28 for completion of re- <br />quirements for remodeling plans of Schreyer, Inc. IIpon motion by Stromguist, seconded by <br />DeLange, Schreyer, Inc. was given a time limit to September 28, 1959 to submit all require- <br />•ments and plans to begin remodeling buildir� at Eii�way 10 for the proposed Big Ten Bar. <br />Moi3on passed. <br />Council requested Read� Stromq_uist and Crepeau to meetx with Don 5tecker to aid kLim in com- <br />pleting quarterly liquor reports. <br />•Upon motion by Stromquiet, seconded by Kennec�y, Claims 1869 through 1899 were�approved for <br />g,7rment. Motion passed. <br />Clerk announced that Nirs. Lindig, 1315 Koalaski Road� complained of weed �owth and condition <br />of road on Koalsla Road, Re£exred to DeLange. <br />
