Stromquist read a letter f'rom the Dept, of Highways announcing a Public <br />Hearing on Tuesday, June 21, at i�ioundsview Highachool and requesting the <br />Council�s attendance. <br />Mrs. Stromquist ���t����e� that tne Council approve the contracts to T, p. <br />Schifsky and Sons for the Floral llrive Froject, and that tney ne signed by <br />the ;Yiayor and the Clerk. The Council unanimously approved. <br />The �,uarterly Report from the Big 10 Supper Club was presented to tY�e <br />: ouncil. <br />Mr. Kennedy moved that the I�nd Condemnation papers be signed for the <br />turnaround in Arden Hills �1. Jones seconded. Carried. <br />Finance Committee ko ort <br />Mrs. tromquist state that tne Finance Conunittea met 5vith Mr. Jones and <br />that ne was allotted an additional �4,000.00 f'or the remainder of the year <br />to be applied to nis Road Budget, �p2,000.00 of which was to be held through <br />the montn of August, if possible. . <br />Clerk Stromquist stated that the report from Stanton and �ittelkow had not <br />yet been reeeived re: office proceedure f'or tne Village. They are to submit <br />their report sometime in Jupe. <br />Mrs. Stromquiat stated that the Finance committee recommends that the On- <br />Sale Liquor License of the 'rJagon Wheel Inn be cancelled apo lifted as of <br />July 1� 1960. Stromquist moved that this recommendation be accepted bp the <br />Council and that T�Ir. Donald Stecker be given a Public Hearing on the matter <br />�t the pext meeting, June 27th. Crepeau seconded. Carried. The matter was <br />eferred to the Attorney for correct procedure in handling. <br />The matter of Taxi Licensing in tne Village was refer:ed to the F'inance <br />Comr.iittee after hearing commen�s from i;s. Erickson of Erickson Taxi Service <br />in New Brighton and the reading of a letter of recormnendation from A. J. <br />�lsenpeter, Chie£ of Folice , New Bri�hton, requesting an exciusive franchise <br />or Erickson Taxi Service in Arden rIills. b?rs. Stromquist moved that a pro- <br />posed taxi ordinance for tne Village be set up bg Attorney Courtneg, similar <br />to the ordinances for other con;ractors and business`'Sin the Village, apd that <br />no single franchise be granted. Seconded by Jones. Carried. <br />
