\ <br />, <br />MT.NUTES OF REGULA,4 P�ETING COUNCI:, OF VILLAGE OF ARDIIJ HILIS - May 29, 1961 <br />� Pa�e 2 _ <br />In Shorewood Hills #6 Mr. Krannack furnished a bond for finishing the roads in this area. <br />•Or. Sept. 2$, 1959 a letter was written by Mr. Courtney regarding the bond number and <br />suggested some action be t aken to i.mprove the roads. 7tao subsequent contacts were made <br />and Mr. Krannak agreed to take care of the roads. Some work has been done on them but <br />they have not been brought up to specifications� The bond is sti11 open and if the <br />report of the engineer indicates the roads are not up to standard the attomey will follow <br />through on this. . <br />Rs: tise Besch decision; this is a Civil Defense matter. The BeYeree says that Ramsey <br />County is �iable for d.anages now. However the ruling says Arden kills is liable. IIr. <br />Courtney suggestes the Council go over tbe matter with their insurance compar;y attorneys. <br />The Ramsey County League of Municipalities also called the t�amsey County Piunicipal Oificials <br />Association for planning� etc. are authorized to collect a per capita on a tax levy basis. <br />Nlrs. Stromq�List suggested that action on approving and joi.ning the above decision be laid over <br />to the next council meeting. <br />Mr. Adolph Meyer had called Mr. Courtney asking when the sewer was to be ready for installa- <br />ion o his residence. i•irs. Stiromquist stated that no formal announcement was made as to <br />the readi.ness of sewer installation as the neighbors and the �ewer contractors kept in <br />touch rrith th.e village hall and lmew when new lines were open. <br />Re: D'�.Faye Kennedy's complaint on the junker cars; this would be inr,luded in a nuisance <br />ordinance. h7r. Courtney submitted aresolution regaxY3ing this matter to be reviewed by <br />Mr. Kennedy and his comnittee. <br />�N�. Courtney reported on the following easements: Sani.targ Sewer improvemerit #ii - an <br />easeu�nt including 13 parcels has been filed this week. Thare are !10 days in,which to <br />appeal. Mr. Courtney will go over the awards and adviae the couneil. He questions <br />appealing Mr. Krarmak's aYrard for �it�000.00 and Pfr. De Witt's award for �3,200.00. <br />Sanitary Sewer 7mprovavement #9 - Saseraents #3062� 3063, and 306l� were ap�roned upon motion <br />by Mrs. Stromquist� seconded by Mr. Crepeau. Motion carried. <br />Sanitary Sewer Imp. #3 - Easeraent #3029 through 3032. Mr. Courtney has a letter from Mr. <br />Bill Busch representing M,r. Nelson. They are making Yurther investigation and �]1 noti.f'y <br />Mr. Courtnay by June 2nd. <br />Sanitary Sewer Imp. #3 - Easeu�nt '�301�1y-301�5 - i�ir. Doepner property. Resolves itself <br />to whether Council wants to condemn the property to obtain access to it or stop with the <br />sewer up to that point. <br />Sanitary Sewer Imp. #2 - Easement #283$ - the R.obert and Pkyyllis Gilchrist propert� <br />off I,ake Johanna Blvd. I�Ir. Olme n moved, NIr. Keisiedy seconded that Mr. Courtney draft a <br />resolution to condemn the propertq dascribed as Lot #16, duditors Subdivision �{$0 as <br />;n�t;cated by attached resolution. Motion carried. <br />Easement #2-23 - tkie Janm�a property. The question has been whether the council would <br />guarantee damage aa noted on the easement. Mr. Crepeau, acting m ayor, was to sign the <br />agreement and Mr. Olmen was to take the easement to 24r. Jamma to sign. <br />•Mrs. Stromquist read a letter from Mr. Garnet Nall of thei�.innesota Highw�* department <br />wanting to Imow if Arden f�i7.ls had an ordinance against a fix3ng range which he is <br />interested in establishing for the state highway patrol.
