This <br />property adjoina to the south the land now used for the operation of the <br />Trailer Park. Request for rezoning this additional property wss made <br />because the Highwa�T Department ia taking a large port3on of land frott <br />the existin�. Trailer Park for the vaidening of Iiigh.arap 8 makin� the <br />remaining part economically diificult to operate. <br />Mr. Kennedy's co�nittee on rezoning has s�udied the problem and feel <br />that this property lends itsolf best ior commercial use. Therefore <br />they recommend granting the request for rezoning as the Trsiler Park <br />will protect the land for futura commercial use. <br />Mrs. Kie£er, owner of *dardee�s Inn, on the land adjoining the Trailer <br />Camp to the north was present and asked what expansion of the present <br />Trailer Camp would do to the taxes on their property. Mr. Kennady and <br />;eIr, Crepeau both expressed the opinion that thia fact of itself should not <br />• have any direct effect on the taxes of the property owned bg Mrs. Kiefer. <br />Ncr. Ko21ak was asked what he intended to do regarding plantings or <br />screening of his Propert5 from the two homea which will adjoip tne <br />Trailer Camp. <br />�otion by Kennedy, second '�y Olmen that request ior rezoning be granted, <br />plans for development of Trailer Park be presented to Council i'or <br />approval before moving trailars in and that necessary planting be done <br />if needed to screen paxk from existing homes. Carried. <br />BANNISTER ENGINEERInG REPORT; Roger Short reported back to the Council <br />on. he pro em o extra expense incurred by sewer contractor when <br />putting in the sewer line et the residence of Harry Ehlers, 3256 Nevf <br />Srighton Road. At the OYJLl9T�8 request the sewer line was run in so <br />that he could connect to it from the back of his nome. Problera now is <br />as follovrs ; <br />1. Lamatti, sewer contrsctor, was not able to contact <br />Ivtr. Ehlers so as to have a complete understapding <br />where the li�e should go. <br />2. VS'hen line was put in it was run straight out froar <br />the house to sewer making a better type connection <br />actually tlzan a curved one. <br />• 3. In runnin� line straight out the sceptic tank and <br />cesspool had to be drained and filZed ma?cing an <br />additional cost of �90,00. <br />� <br />� � <br />
