He explained in detail the boundaries of the area which has <br />been requested to be rezoned and made the follovrin� comments: <br />1. Rest Home would cost approximately �200,000.00, <br />have 43 beds� would be a quiet conv�lescent t9Pa <br />residence, attractive, xell landscapad, etc. <br />2. Dr. Houle would have to hsve State Welfere <br />Co�nittee approval on type oP home he is to <br />build as well as Village restrictions and <br />epproval. <br />� <br />p petition witlz 21 names of residents in the Villa�e o£ �rden Hilla who <br />approve the rezoning was presented to the Council by Dr. Houle. <br />Mr. Paul Thorne, 1774 Gramsie Road asked who the people were and where <br />they lived, who had aigned I�r. Eoule�s petition. He flirther stated the <br />residente of Shorewood Hills have reaiated t�ezoning this property ar�d <br />sre apprehensive that rezoning now would lead to additionsl rezonin� <br />later. <br />Mr. G. E. Harmon, 1661 VP. County Rd. F steted that people attending the <br />multiple dwelling hearing were prepared only for that discusaion and had <br />not had time to think through the requeat foi� a�est home which Dr. Houle <br />asked about that seme evening. <br />DRr. R. W. Fritts, 1780 Venus stated that he had picked 5horowood Hills <br />and Valentine Hilla as a community well controlled ae to zonin� ordinancea. <br />He is verg opposed to this requast. <br />Trustee Kennedy reviewed the ob3eetiona to the multiple dwellin� requeat <br />which the Councll adhered to and voted down. Are we now opposed to <br />progress and addin� an attractive building �rhich would add to our tax <br />income? <br />Mr. L. A. Idawmaq, 4051 valentine Court expressed concern oaer what would <br />happen in the future to our rezoning ordinances if we let this one go <br />through. <br />BEr. John Fiysgeard, a f ormer member o£ the kamsey County Planning <br />Commisaion spoka about the functions of thia Commission._ <br />\ <br />V7ith no more residents wishing to be heard the Council considered the <br />matter. Since A.syoT Ashbach was out of the citq Mr. Kepnedy moved, <br />Olmen seconded, that the matter be held over to the rsgular Council <br />Meeting of March 27 so that &Isgor Ashbach could review the petitions <br />and the results of the hearing. �,t this time there would be a full Council <br />vote on the matter. Carried. <br />Mias Jenson, 721 Huron Ave. W. appeared before the Council ra�.th a request <br />• for permisaion to move e home from Highway 96 to a lot on 3395 I,ake <br />Johanna Blvd. which is owned bg her. At present there are two cottage <br />type homes on this property. She has these rented out and feels ahe <br />would have to give the renters nine months to a year+a notice to move <br />to line up to her lease aggxeaiaent with them. <br />� � <br />
