Ro�er Short of Bannister Engineerin� Co. <br />Donald Carley - Village Engineer <br />Mr. Dedrickson of Northern States Power Co. appeared before the Council <br />explaining the problems encountered in erecting poles and anchors on <br />the Preabyterian Home property for sewer improvement #2. <br />Mr, Kennedy sug�ested that Pltr. Dedrickson determine the cost of under- <br />�round construction and check to see if Northern States Power Co. <br />would apply their cost of constructing overhead installation against <br />the underground construction. <br />fvTr. Fred Koslak appeared in re�ard to rezoning of property adjoining <br />his trailer court. Nr. Kennedy reported that a£ter study of ➢Qr. <br />Koslak�a request for rezoning the Welfare Committee recommanda the <br />following: a public hearing to be held and if neighbors have no <br />objections the area be rezoned from R2 to Couixnercial. <br />• VILIAGE ENGINE�RB REPORT - Don Carley showed the plan of the construction <br />wor as p anned or Nazareth Hall including the provisions for drainage. <br />Council suggested underground drainage to the lake would be most <br />desirable. <br />The Building Inspector has received complaints regarding the drainage <br />of property at Cleveland and County Road D where a Texaco Gas Station <br />is being built. After conducting a survey of this area and finding <br />one oP the culverts has been sand bogged, NIr. Carley suggested he <br />write a letter to the Ramsey Countg Engineer to open up this culvert <br />and clear up this problem. <br />Mr. Carley also presented a surveq of the draina�e on County Road F <br />and Fairview. He suggested new drainage be incorporated into a road <br />improvement project when these roads have to be replaced. <br />CLERK'S REPORT - Village Attorney ruled that regular council meeting <br />cou d not be held December 26, a legal holiday, unless council deemed <br />it e matter of public neceseity. <br />Kennedy moved and Jones seconded a motion that the council meeting be <br />changed to Tuesday, December 27, 1960 at 8:00 P.iVl. Carried. <br />A letter from the Villase Attorney re: complaints received of business <br />being carried on by NIrs. Erickson at her residence, 1377 Cummings Lane. <br />. :ie suggested that there was no infringement on the zoning ordinance <br />as there were no sales being conducted from her home or no manufacturing. <br />His recommendation was to take no action on this matter.
