D <br />• applied for a 1961 license for Juke Box, Cigarettes, Soft Drinks, <br />and On and Off sale of Malt Liquors. He also requested permission <br />to open for the last few days of December. Kennedy moved, Jones <br />seconded application be allowed subject to the approval of the Polica <br />and Fire Inspectors. <br />Mr. Crepeau accompanied the Fire and Police Inspectors to the liquor <br />establishments and found all to be O.K. ,A few recommendations were <br />made for them to follow. <br />Claims 2582 through 2590 were presented. ,Kennedy moved, Jones aeconded <br />claims as listed be peid. Carried. Motion by Stramquist, seconded <br />by Crepeau that Claim 2591 to Villaoe of Roseville be approved for <br />payment when the sewer connection is made. <br />,A letter was read from Bill Devitt re:earnest monay contrQcts to be <br />approved, contract number 3013 for �355.00 and number 3037 for <br />�1,335.00. Mr. Devitt recommended easement fees are reasonable and <br />should be paid. Kennedy moved, Jones seconded that the �ayor and <br />Clerk be suthorized to sign the contracts and proceed with the <br />easements. . <br />Jones moved, Stromquist seconded approval of minutes of November 28th <br />1960 regular Arden Hills village Council NIeeting. <br />• F IIvANCE CON��iITTEE AEPORT - l�trs. Stromquist reported on the Finance <br />Co�rnittee s stu q o e report of I,ocal Government in Arden Hills by <br />Stanton and Pittelkovc. The followin� recommendations were made by <br />the Finance Committee: <br />1. Adoption of the classification oP accounts. n�r. I�darvin Brunsell, <br />finance officer from Fridley could supervise setting up these accounts. <br />Cost to our Village would be approximately �100.00, not to exceed <br />�300.00. <br />2. Someone on the present staff could follow through on this project. <br />3. Install a triplicate check form. <br />• <br />� <br />Kennedy moved, Jones seconded that the Clerk be suthorized to adopt <br />such portion of the 5tanton Pittlekow report ae deals with the account- <br />ing section. <br />Jones reported that the Village share of helping with the setting up <br />of the warmi�g house has been accomplished. <br />Mr. Kennedy asked Council�s opinion on <br />to investigate propert9 available near <br />project.
