I ,. . � <br />� � � MINLTES OF MEETInTG - <br />Council of the Village of Arden Hills <br />Monday, October 31, 1960 <br />� <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Robert Ashbach at 8;00 p.m. <br />Roll Call: Present;- Ashbach, Kennedy, Crepeau, Stromquist <br />Absent• - Jones <br />Also attending were Pdr. Vincent Courtttey, Village Council, Mr. Peterson <br />of the Sannister Engipeering Co. and Mr, Clay Kelley, Buildipg InspectoP. <br />A request was made by a resident of 1845 Stowe for one or two atreet <br />lights to be installed on Stowe Ave. between Lske Johanna Blvd. and New <br />Brighton Hd. Idatter turnad over to Jones. . <br />Mr. Joe Finley, Attorney i'or Power Tools, Inc. aqd Mr. Bill Florin <br />appeared to apply for permit to carry on a busineas of a concession type <br />natura on the parcel of lsnd on the South side of County Road ��En near <br />T3arkins ➢riving Range. Designe, pictures, and plans of the enterprise <br />called Fox-GO BY.C�Srtway track were presented. I{ennedy moved to refer <br />application to Courtney to determine legal questions involved. Crepeau <br />seconded. Carried. <br />h1�.,�lan 0. Bessey, 3280 Sandeen Rd. presented pictures and a complaint <br />that the sewer contractor had not replaced hia property as it was before <br />the sewer project. A deep ditch left in front of the property creates <br />a drainage problem. Mr. Peterson of Bannister �ngineering was present <br />and was asked to bring this complaint to the attention of Contractor <br />T�ametti. <br />� <br />R7rs. Ed Fyten, 1137 Edgewater, registered a complaint saying the approach <br />to her home,since the sewer project, was muddy, bumpy, etc. She hoped <br />it would be resurfaced before winter comes. Mayor Ashbach stated that <br />some gravel would be put on this fall which would help through the winter <br />months. By spriqg, he warned it would be bad again but the roads would <br />be resurfaced in the summer after the earth had had a chance to settle. <br />Mr. Clyden, 1956 Nounds }1ve, asked if the council had ginen his neighbor, <br />b4r. Anderson, at 1948 R4ounds Ane. permission to keep horaea. He com- <br />plaiped about N1x. Anderson�s dog who he says has bitten several people. <br />He statea that he has to take his daughter to the busline as she is <br />afraid to go out of the house. This matter was referred to the police <br />department to cheak. <br />The public hearing on the ordinance for rezonicy� property from R2 to R1 <br />was opep for discussion. John Nesky was the onbg one appearin�.on this <br />matter. He opposed the rezoning. Kennedy moved to adopt the ordinance <br />#58. Crepeau seconded. Carried. <br />Mt�. Kennedy preaented the proposed Pinal draft of subdivision re�ulations <br />and said the first reading would be at the Council Meeting two weeks from <br />tonight. <br />�dr. Olson complained of the excess char�e and unsatisfactory work done bg <br />�(Ai.IQQ, one R���-'�'~a contractor necessitating the need for a second to repair the <br />work a�ain. Bisyor pehbach is to send a letter to the Plumbipg Insp'ector <br />re�arding repairs and permits. <br />I <br />
