Stevens <br />Mr. Stevens and the ovener of the ad,jacent lot on Rolling Hills Road <br />were present. Dtscussian was heid regarding Mr. Stevens' request <br />for a 10 foot front yard varlance to allow a more graduaR sloping <br />of the back portion of the lot. <br />The Council rereferred the matter i-o the Planning Commission and r�- <br />quested Mr. Stevens to submit a topographicai m�p to the Pia�ning <br />Commisslon for further study. <br />Case No. 69-23, St. Paui Book and Stationery <br />Messrs. E, Engelburt, Jr, and Clark Rambo ware present to represent <br />Sfi. Pau! Book and Stationery Company. They displayed the sifie plan <br />tor a proposod warehouse and retail store to be located at 1221 W. <br />County Road E. <br />C�uncilman Hoilenhorst moved, seconded by Councifman Crepeau, can- <br />currence w(th fihe Planning Cammission and the F3oard of Appeals, to <br />approve fihe site pian as submifited to the Planning Commission on <br />August 5, 1964; the issuance of the buiiding permit, subject to the <br />approval ot the Building inspector; the granting of 2 variances to <br />allow an IS foot rear satback and to permit the buiiding to cover <br />47$ of the building sitF (maximum percentage allowed according to <br />?he Zon(ng Ordinance is 40$); the landscape plan is to be submitted <br />to the Pianning Commission for approva! and determination of the <br />required bond; the drainage plans to be submitted for approval by <br />the Village Engineer; motion carried unanimously. <br />R@commendations Possible Ordinance Viotations <br />After some discussion, 1•he Councii requested Clerk Administrator to <br />ask Butldfng �nspector Clay Keliey to Inspect the following es- <br />tablishments regarding specific complaints as follows: <br />I. Proto Sheet Metal Company, 3630 Connelly Avenue <br />landscapfng does not comply.with approved plans. <br />2. Texaco Station, 1261 Coun#y Road E <br />Outside storage ot boats, trailers, etc. <br />3. Texaco Station, 3130 N. Cieveland Avenue <br />Outslde storage of trucks. <br />�'1 <br />LI <br />� <br />The Counci! aiso reques�-ed Clerk Administraior to check tMe ardloance <br />regarding ths rentai bu,Eness being operated at the 7exaco Station <br />on County Road E. <br />After compietion of the investlgation, the Council requested Clerk <br />Admini5trator to fntorm the establishments af their specific viol- <br />atfons. <br />The Councfl requested Cderk Admtnistrator fio contact Flaherty!s <br />Arden Bowi to request them to mafntain the County dttch in front <br />of their property by mo�aing. <br />REPORT OF COUNClLMAN CREPEAU, Pub�ic Safety <br />L_exington Avenue improvement Meeting <br />Councilman Crepsau raad a report of a meei-ing held August 6, 1969, <br />at 8:30 a.m. a� the Shoreview Viliage Nail. The purpose of the <br />meeting was to discuss �the future development of Lexington Avenue <br />on both sides and i-ts e•Ffect on traffic conditions. Present at <br />this meeting were represeni-atEves from Arden Hi!!s, Shoreview, <br />Rosevlllo, Ramsey County Engineer°s Oftice, Minnesota Highway De- <br />partment and Ramsey County Board of Commissioners. It was detarmined <br />that Arden Hills and Shorevlew submit site plans to the Stafie and <br />County High�,�ay Departmeni�s showing existing and future deveiopment <br />for area within both Villages which border on State or County roads. <br />_ q _ <br />
