Gray Henderson <br />Absent - None <br />Also Present - Attorney Vincent P. Courtney, (8:30) E�gineer ponald <br />Lund, Building lnspector Clay Kelley, Planning Commisston <br />Secretary Larry Brodle, Treasurer Worth G. Read, Public <br />Works Supervisor Everefit Beecher, Clerk Administrator <br />Lorraine Stromquist and Records Cl�rk Dorothy Zehm. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the ReguEar Councit Meeting of May 12, 1969, were <br />approved as submitted. <br />E3USINESS FROM THE fL�JOR <br />None. <br />Case No. 67-14,� Skeli� Oil Company <br />Mr. Shaidon Quist, Civil Engineer, Construction Department, Skelly <br />011 Company, presented plans for a"suburban or ranch" building whfch <br />he exptalned his company would consider building in Arden Hilis at <br />#he Red fox Road and Lextngton Avenue site, instead of the "type <br />56" bufiding which has been approved previousty.by the viilage. <br />Mr. Qufst advised that construction has commenced at the 5ite; the <br />fianks have been installed underground and construction wfll beg(n <br />on the "type 5B" buiiding, 3f he camot get Council approval of <br />the proposed "suburban or ranch" bui(ding at tonight's meeting. <br />He explained that e��an if approval is granted on the "suburban" plen, <br />bullding costs wiil determine the teasibility of this buiiding at , <br />this time. He further advised that the building has brick veneer <br />on three sides, the fourth side (rear) wouid be of stacked concrete <br />block; the 7' x 7' sign is an integral part of the buitding and must <br />be considered as such; the sign and pylon are about 24' 2" high. ' <br />After consideration of the amended building ptans, it was moved by <br />Councilman John Hollr�nhorst that council approve the pians for the <br />"suburban" type building, as presented, subject to approvat by the <br />Board o4 Appeals and Planning Commission; motion seco�ded by Councif- <br />man Henry Crepeau; motion carried u�animously. <br />Street U ghtinq Survey ; <br />Clerk Admfnistrator Lorraine Stromquist presented maps of the �arious <br />areas of the village, coded in three colors, indicating residents' <br />comments regarding street lighting, as the result of the surv�y con- <br />ducted by the Jaycees. (Yel�ow - indicattng "yes", Orange - indfcating <br />"no", Pink - indicafiing that the resident made a comment of some <br />kind other than yes or no.D <br />P�7rs. Stromquist advised that an estimated <br />written requests received at the village <br />cluded on the maps; some of which may be <br />survey results. <br />25 to 30 telephone and/or <br />otfice have not been in- <br />a dupiicatlon of the Jaycee <br />Mr. L.F. Gregory, l785 Glenview Avenue, asked how counci� wouid handie <br />the situation df one resident requested a certain light and the ad- <br />jacent or across fiha street resident objected to it.
